How to Enroll

STEP 1: Complete a screening.

Call 512-637-7580, email intake@goodwillcentraltexas.org, or visit an intake office in person at one of the locations listed below. Walk-in appointments are first-come, first served. Click here to submit an interest form or email intake@goodwillcentraltexas.org for more information.

STEP 2: Complete an intake appointment.

After you’ve completed the screening, you will be scheduled for an intake appointment to talk with our staff about your education and employment goals.

STEP 3: Provide paperwork to prove eligibility.

Once the intake is finished, you will need to provide eligibility documents to complete your enrollment.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS – Eligibility requirements include, but are not limited to:

Identity Authorization to Work Proof of All Household Income for the Past 30 Days Residence Veteran Status
(if applicable)
Government-issued ID Birth certificate Paycheck stub Government-issued ID (with current address) DD-214 with Character of Service
Driver’s license Social Security card Temporary Aid for Needy Families (TANF) Lease agreement Military ID or Veteran ID
Passport Permanent US Residency Identification card (green card) SSI or SSDI Utility bill Statement of Service from VA
Government-issued authorization to work Unemployment, disability or workers’ compensation Voter registration card
Alimony Statement from landlord or social services agency that includes address
Pensions
Military family allotments

STEP 4: Referral to permanent Career Case Manager.

Within 5 business days of completing eligibility, you will be connected with a permanent Goodwill Career Case Manager, who will assist you with your education and employment goals.

STEP 5: Complete assessment and meet your permanent Career Case Manager.

When you meet with your Career Case Manager, you will create an individualized plan to help us assist you with your goals.

STEP 6: Program participation.

While in the program, you will actively participate in weekly career readiness activities including, but not limited to: job search, applying for jobs, creating/editing resumes and cover letters, attending career readiness trainings, etc. You may also have the option of participating in educational programs: The Goodwill Excel Center adult high school, GED, post-secondary education, and/or occupational training.
